If you don't want to spend $100, a Roku stick would do the job for half the price and you can do almost everything
the AppleTV could do and some things it couldn't...
I'm all-in on the Apple ecosystem and I love Roku. Easy to take on the road (plug into hotel TV), can cast things with AirPlay, etc.

Why do you need wifi? Just attach an AppleTV if you were watching streaming media on it directly.

Had an LG black screen on me after less than 4 yrs. and will never buy LG again.

Mine started doing that as well. I prefer the LG interface, but use WiFi

Common problem with LG tvs. Ive bought at least 50 for clinics I work for and over half had wifi issues.
