Seems like the University as a whole has embraced the possibilities with the additional funds flowing into the athletics department.

I remember when I was at BYU, President Bateman gave a devotional talk where he said that it was his goal to have our major sports ranked every year in the top 10. He then explained why and described how it would benefit the university as a whole. More and better students. More money from sports related revenue. More excitement on campus. He had the vision, but then we got Samuelson who did not share the vision. President Reese seems to have the vision.
