He's had a much strong D1 career in every way. This year Jake has been better
You don't have to go very far with Fafita. He's younger, but has more career wins with the same amount of career losses. His numbers and QBR for a full season were great last year, but he actually didn't play the first 3 games. In his 2 losses(both to top 10 teams) Arizona lost by a combined 9 points. His QBR of 85.6 last year average is better than Jake's career best game. You can't really argue that he's more experience than Jake because he's just a redshirt sophomore.

Most importantly, he's 2-0 against Utah

I won't make the argument that he's been better than Jake this year because he hasn't been. I also wouldn't take him over Jake, not because I don't think he's better, but I don't think he would have any success in BYU's offense. He's pretty good in the pocket at moving around, but he does not run which has proven to be super important for ARod's offense to have any success.
