professional quality, but most laptop cameras suck. Also, the way most people position their laptop, the camera is pointing up and the angle is not flattering. I have a decent camera (it was like $70) on the top of my monitor, so about 15 or 18 inches higher than my laptop camera. The angle and better quality makes a pretty big difference. Plus I can position it exactly the way I want without worrying about how using my laptop will affect it.
Using your laptop camera isn't the end of the world. Tons of people do it, but I interview people pretty frequently and a bad or unflattering image can be very distracting in an interview. If you can give it a serious upgrade for a relatively small price, I definitely think it is worth doing.
Similarly, I also bought a decent microphone to be sure my voice is coming through clearly.
