Catchings was a 4-star recruit and #41 recruit in the nation which is a great recruit to get, but not quite at the level that most would project him as a 1-and-done player. There are several who have him projected as a possible 2026 lottery pick which seems more in line with his recruiting rank.

I know he is hoping to build his draft stock to go to the NBA next season, and it seems like the potential is there for that to possibly happen. He done seem to have some 1-and-done upside. However, as of right now it seems like most people nationally view him more as a 2-and-done prospect than a 1-and-done prospect.
