This is true, cool to have players like Knell and Fouss, never enter the portal.
It provided some stability at a really uncertain moment. I remember at that time that Noah Waterman seemed to be one who would stick around. Hope he finds success at Louisville.

I hope that Knell shoots lights out this year, it would be a huge boost to have him be in the top 5% of shooters in the country, and it seems that he has the skill to do it. Only time will tell how he does.

I also think it is important to consider that Knell is in the middle of an MBA in his 6th? (or 7th?) year playing college basketball and his wife runs a successful business out of Utah Valley. So his life circumstances may not have been pressuring him to explore the market as much as a transfer.
No doubt he was loyal to BYU, I just want to point out that is different than someone like Dallin, Aly, or even Noah who are single and appear to be 100% focused on basketball, or even Richie, who is married but I don't think has as many financial reasons to stay in Provo.

And the fact that he didn't enter the portal doesn't change the fact that if she shoots well he should play, and if he doesn't shoot well, then he really should not get as many minutes. His main contributions are kind of one-dimensional in that way.
