If you’re not located at an airline’s hub, then you’re more likely to have issue
Vast majority here live in Utah, so Delta is by far the best airline. They have the ability to much more flexible with the volume of flights going in and out of a hub.

I live in Colorado, so United is my airline. I’ve take over 60 segments this year, and have had just a handful of flights that have had any kind of delay… but I’ve been on a 2 delta legs and 4 Alaskan legs this year, and had delays on every single one. So for me, United is by far the best choice. If you tried flying United consistently out of SLC, you’d hit problems far more often than delta.

So. If okc is your origin - it’s just a crapshoot. You’re not an airline’s hub. Fly early in the day and you’ll have a better chance that you won’t have to deal with cascading delays.
