General thoughts after listening to the game and watching the highlights
I can see why KY took the game off the TV. I'm a basketball scheme junkie. I like watching what offensive actions are being used and how the defense adapts to them. I had a hard time telling what the offensive plays were. Radio would just shout the name of whoever had the ball, so no help there, and very few of the highlights showed the whole floor. Most highlights jumped in halfway through the play or only gave an angle that showed half the court. You could see the pick and roll action, but not what was occupying the help defenders, stuff like that. That being said, it's not like we're playing anyone great right off the bat, so idk who we are hiding this stuff from.

Thoughts:
1) The Egor - Keita chemistry on offense is already really high. I think it speaks to how well both players know the pick and roll. Egor knows how to find people open near the basket and Keita knows how to get open. It's going to be fun watching this all year, especially when shooters get in the mix with some spain pick and roll action.

2) This team is going run a lot. When you look at the guys KY brought in (Mag, Keita, Egor, Catchings, Crawford, Boskovic) all of those guys can run down the floor and Egor loves to push in transition. I'm hoping our team can look like the great Gonzaga teams in transition, with all 5 guys running and making the simple correct pass. That's going to be fun.

3) Fouss is going to contend for the B12 6th man of the year. I know that award usually goes to guards, but Fouss is that good. Great rebounder, great hands, great shot blocking, and maybe some three point shooting this year? He's going to give 2nd units fits and I'm hoping we run the offense through him when he's out there.

4) There are going to be very talented players that are going to have to be "role players". This is said a lot in the NBA, everyone has a role. Most NBA guys have the talent to be leading scorers, but that's not what the team asks out of them. They're asked to fill a specific role and play that role well. That is going to happen to a lot of our guys. A couple that stick out are Hall, Knell and Baker. All of those guys are very talented, but they will be asked to fit into the system. It's very important that those guys buy in and play well in their role. If that happens, this team can go very far.

5) Two key things to watch are turnovers and defensive breakdowns. Both of these denote a lack of chemistry on the court (Turnovers on offense, and defensive breakdowns on defense). The higher the team chemistry, the less of these we'll see. KY said something interesting in the post game interview. He said that the past couple weeks, they've been adding new schemes to the practices. Now that the season is coming close, they'll stop adding and start getting reps. Hopefully the team can get enough repetition to get guys on the same page. I'm not too worried about this as we have a relatively light beginning of the season.

Again, I didn't watch the game, these are just some of my reactions.

Take it for what it's worth.
