I do IT stuff (business analyst type work) and at the time I was the lead for this software solution for a 1* command. The chief of staff in some sub org on a mass call said I was the director of "x" software stack and his team of developers needed to follow my design lead.

I added "director" on my linkedin profile as a joke after that meeting 😂

I don't care about titles.
