Electric atmosphere today. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend Comerica after a 10 year home playoff game drought.
This summer, while planning a road trip to Chicago to visit my best friend, I realized I could catch games in Kansas City, St. Louis, and both Chicago stadiums on consecutive nights. That evolved into a goal to see a game at all 30 stadiums before my 30th birthday (late October 2027).
Prior to this season, I'd been to San Diego and Seattle.
After my 4 game Midwestern trip, I spent a weekend in SoCal to see the Dodgers and the Angels. Went to Denver to see the Rockies on Pioneer Day. Flew to the Bay Area with my dad over Labor Day weekend to see the Giants and say hello and goodbye to the Oakland Colosseum (a game that the A's won on a walk off homer).
I thought I was done for this season, but when the Tigers started going on their September run, I realized I'd be in Grand Rapids for work from the Sunday to Wednesday that coincided with the series. As soon as the game time was announced for today's game so I could confirm my meetings would be over in time, I pushed my return back a day, rented a car, and bought a ticket to today's game.
I'm hoping to be in Phoenix for their home opener in spring, and then will be planning trips by region for the next 3 summers to knock out the rest of the stadiums. In my head, it makes sense for my last game to be in Toronto, followed by a drive to Cooperstown and a Hall of Fame visit to cap off the 30 before 30. Everything in between now and then is undecided.
