For the first time in my life, I work for a company that takes off every federal
holiday (plus a few other days). They're also generous with PTO in general, but I really appreciate the company wide holidays because work isn't piling up while I'm away. Right now I'm looking forward to the long Columbus Day weekend.
I'm occasionally contacted about similar roles that would pay $30-40K more a year, but I honestly can't consider them because this company is so employee friendly.
