of this imo. Each snippet was super dramatic and I'm not sure what they were getting at. I am planning on listening to the whole thing so maybe I just caught some different portions. But in general Casey Means can get a little nutty at times. But it's her brand and her way of getting out there and selling her book which I get.
It's all real simple imo...
1. Americans have an absurdly high rate of metabolic syndrome
2. Metabolic syndrome is very, very bad for you
3. In general people don't really care that they're unhealthy and if they do care, they don't care quite enough to really make changes for it.
4. The current healthcare system is a total mess/wreck and is not an ideal set up to really address metabolic dysfunction on an individual and population level. It's not the doctors' fault for the most part. This goes way above them.
