If it’s the former, I think those people are trying to just be annoying and get reactions. The NHL has been expanding to non-traditional hockey markets that are even more new to hockey than Utah for decades, so anyone who is annoyed with this has a short memory. Plus they took the Coyotes out of AZ who were an embarrassment to the NHL for a long time.

If it’s the latter, Utah definitely aren’t favorites to contend for the Cup but they could certainly make the playoffs, that wouldn’t be crazy at all.
