The timing for Saleh’s firing is really weird
Usually, a coach/GM are tied to their rookie QB. ZW obviously didn’t work out, so it would make sense to fire them after that.

But the ownership decided to give Saleh another chance with Rodgers. Rodgers last four plays, so they run it back this year.

Then they go 2-3 and they fire him. So Saleh only got five games with Rodgers.

On top of that, they lost to undefeated Minnesota by 6 points. It’s not like they fired him after losing to Carolina or some other awful team. The other loses are against Denver (3-2) and the Niners (2-3). Although the Niners are 2-3, they’re still defending NFC Champs. They’ve lost all three games by a total of 20 points this year

Saleh was getting fired anyways, unless they had some great playoff run. But it’s weird to me that he gets fired 5 games into the season (which is really quick) after a loss to the hottest team in the NFL. Especially when his defense has been really good.

But why not fire him after Zach didn’t work out? Why let him go with Rodgers? And, if you let him roll with Rodgers, why only give him five games? Doesn’t make sense.
