So I need to run payroll from my laptop in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. It's pretty much the only work related task I need to do while I'm out there on vacation, primarily because no one else knows how to do it right now. I guess the thing that's been a concern for me though is whether it's going to be safe to do so. I've never been there and I don't know a lot about it but I'm wondering if the Internet is good and if it is good if it's safe for employee payroll data.

Instead would it be safer to get some kind of an international cell plan that covers Internet through my phone and use that as a hotspot to run payroll through? I go in a couple weeks so I really need to start thinking about this. Any good insight would be appreciated.
