No chance. Jimmy G only played in SF because Lance was such a project. They wanted Lance to win the job in 2020 and then
gave him the job in 2021, and Lance was as raw as you can get.
Zach would have played pretty much immediately, with the same system he played with in New York. But the Niners took a QB because Kyle knew he wasn’t winning a Super Bowl with Jimmy and that he was holding the Niners back. There wasn’t going to be any, “wait and let Zach develop.”
