See if the university of utah audiology department offers evaluations &
dispense hearing aids. If so that may be a good option. The university clinics are typically run with less risk for salesmanship.

Costco hearing offers their hearing tests to all, including non-members. You have to be a member to buy there though.

My wife’s an audiologist. Any ethical one will do the test and if there is a hearing loss, recommend a hearing aid.
