On BYU sports nation last week, Austin Collie had a take that might change how I watch games. They did a segment on who to cheer for that weekend. The dark hair guy wasn't on, so it was just the other guy and Austin Collie.
Austin kept saying that he wanted all future BYU opponents to lose every game so they were "broken" and unconfident against BYU. This is a little different than the more traditional perspective wanting teams we play to come in ranked or with big wins that would bolster our SOS, minimize losses, or even have teams overconfident (Rat Poison).
Is he right? Maybe wanting SOS is a bit of a hangover from independence (and BCS) when even wins couldn't guarantee access to post season play. Now we just need to win, and winning is easier against broken teams?
