My parents were out of town and I was home alone. Stood up and the back spasms started. Had me writhing on the floor of my bedroom for a few hours. My phone was up on my dresser and I couldn’t stand up to call anyone. I felt like the old man in one of those commercials for fall alarms/monitors.

Thus began my delightful journey into the world of chronic back pain.
