• First to successfully build and land a rocket booster that autonomously returned to its launch site
• First private company to send astronauts to the ISS
• Co-founded SolarCity, one of the largest solar energy services companies in the U.S., then integrated into Tesla
• Founded Neuralink, to develop an implantable brain
• Established The Boring Company to reduce traffic congestion in cities
• Co-founded OpenAI, to promote and develop friendly AI for the benefit of humanity
• Early visionary investor, then leader of Tesla, which delivered:
• First highway-legal electric vehicle with lithium-ion batteries
• First electric vehicle to achieve a long-range (The Model S was the first electric car to offer a range of over 300 miles on a single charge)
• First comprehensive automobile autopilot system
• First electric vehicle to achieve a 5-star safety rating in every category (The Model S)
• First mass-market electric vehicle (The Model 3)
• Acquired Twitter for WELL over market to protect free speech
