you’re ignoring the fact that those last chance tackles aren’t luck, they’re good open field tackles. that speaks to good coaching and good execution. lots of touchdowns have a last chance tackle that gets missed.

in the baylor game, baylor was extremely aggressive and made tons of great plays against good defense on 4th down that you can’t really defend. most teams aren’t like that and even if they are, it’s not gonna work nearly as often.

the KSU game had good bounces, but most of those bounces were possible BECAUSE of playing good football. even on the punt, there was a little luck in recovering it, but the return had good blocking and vision.
