Big difference is there are a lot more things to do in that area than in SD.
It was good enough location for your NFL team to move up too.
The area supports 2 MLB teams, 2 NBA teams, 2 NFL teams, 2 NHL teams, 2 MLS teams, and numerous college teams.
NBA and NHL have already started, and even pre-season would pull some fans away for those that have season tickets. MLS is in season and could have a game. Probably one NCAA football game happening that day, all of those potentially pull people away from buying tickets.
Besides Padre Baseball what else is happening those nights in SD that might pull people away?
