Kind of like a good debater would be able to anticipate how an opponent tries to deconstruct his argument and he then has additional prepared "ammo" to respond in turn with?
After a great 1st half, the coaches should've spent half time reviewing a pre-planned set of "this is how we'll adjust to counter the adjustments they might make" so they could enact it in the second half.
