Absolutely, but there are teams at the bottom of the conference fully capable of
spoiling us as well.

West Virginia is currently last place in most preseason polls, and they're merely bringing in the #1 overall transfer in the nation--a future NBA stud--plus another top 100 player.

UCF is ranked near the bottom, but if a couple of their 5-star guys can resolve some legal issues, they'll have an explosive team and could jump to the top.

TCU brought in a bunch of top 100 talent and some stud transfers.

Each of Oklahoma State's 5 best players can make it rain from three. If they all get hot the same night, they're not losing... no matter the opponent.

And so on. This is the basketball conference of Death. Don't get too attached to the idea of a top-5 finish and FORGET last year's fluky run.

This is only year 1 of the KY era. We need to establish a solid base for future success and build over the next couple of seasons. Then, I don't doubt we'll start seeing the top-5 finishes and the deep tourney runs.
