My 10 year old son and I are going to the Red River Rivalry game next week. We’re spending several days in Dallas. Couple questions:

- we’re staying in grapevine. With that in mind, where in the area (within 40 minute drive) do I get the best barbecue and Tex mex?
- we’re going to Six Flags. I know they have fright fest going on. Should we plan on leaving the park before 6? Or, as long as we don’t go into the haunted houses, should we be good staying late?
- what’s the best thing to do at the fair before the game?
- we’re also doing a tour of cowboy stadium. Is there anything else that is uniquely Dallas that we should see/experience?
