Mag is someone who can defend the 2s and 3s on the opposing team just fine, and offensively it seems like KY views the 2, 3, and 4 as interchangeable. If Baker ends up not getting minutes like we initially thought then we likely see Mag and Catchings more on the wing w/ Boskovic at the 4. Here's what I'm kind of thinking we might see linup-wise:
Starters
Hall
Demin (slides to the 1 when Hall is out)
Knell (could play some minutes at the 2)
Catchings (could play some minutes at the 3)
Keita
Primary reserves:
Saunders (primarily playing the 2 and 3)
Mag (splitting time between the 3 and 4)
Boskovic (primarily playing at the 4, some minutes at the 5)
Fouss (backup 5)
Others:
Crawford (could get some minutes at the 1)
Baker (fighting for minutes at the 2)
Kozlowski (possible redshirt candidate, don't seem many minutes for him this season short of injury)
Stewart
Demin likely slides to PG when Hall is out, but Crawford could push for PT as a backup PG as well. My guess is he is #3 PG behind Hall and Demin. Saunders splits time between the 2 and 3. Knell could play some minutes at the 2 as well. Mag primarily backs up the 3 but could also play some minutes at the 4. Boskovic is the primary backup at the 4 and play the 5 situationally as needed. Fouss is the backup 5.
Much of this is based off info shared in Robbie's preseason preview combined with comments made here in this thread along w/ bits and pieces of things KY has said. Odds are we will see multiple lineups throughout the nonconference schedule and the lineup we see in Game 1 could be very different from the lineup we see entering conference play.
