it has sort of seemed close for the 18 years my daughter has been T1. But to actually have something this close to human trials really does seem like a big step closer.

If any of the rest of you who have T1 kids/family members are like me, it's always felt a little bit like "just keep them alive and without organ/cell damage until science can make the breakthrough". I've kept that hope alive and will just keep praying for the miracle.
