I do this too. I blend my last years rankings less and less through week 6.
I include FCS as “pods” sorted by ranking them against other FCS teams, then ranking the pods with all the FBS schools.
I use home/away and score margin (margins above 21 points are essentially identical to not overweight RUTS).
I’ve got BYU 8 right now, Utah 35.
