Dumb. They had an easy route and blew it. The reverse merger would have saved
the PAC money and travel costs. The PAC schools just wanted to avoid adding WY, UNM, Nevada and San Jose. In doing so they lost out on UNLV and Air Force.
They'd have 13 teams and own much of the west coast.
