Here's a few surgeons reporting their experience on Jones fracture repair in college athletes. Overall the 25 athletes returned to play within 3.6 weeks on average. All returned within 6 weeks. 56% of the athletes were football players.
Jones fracture repair in NFL players. I don't have access to this but it reports an average return to play of 8.7 weeks (5.9 - 13.6 weeks), though I don't 100% understand exactly the line in their abstract about who is included in that return to play measurement.

Another paper about mostly soccer players. Of the 17 patients, 14 returned within 9 weeks. Average return to play was 7.5 weeks with a range of 2 to 12 weeks.
