Learning the game
As far as football, I have only ever watched BYU. I've never played the sport. I know the basics of the sport (rules, most positions, etc.) but I don't know many schemes, formations, defenses, etc. When people make comments like "they are in cover two", or "they were rush blocking", and such, I think: "how can they see that?" The game is too fast for me. The older I get the more I appreciate the talent it takes as a QB to read the defense and make decisions on the fly. And the same with the linebacker and/or DC who is reading the offense at the same time. It truly is a fascinating game of strategy. But I can't see most of it.
Where can I go to better learn the schemes, strategies, and nuances, so that I can recognize more of the strategy in real time? Can anyone recommend a youtube channel or something? I don't want to spend a ton of time on this, but I can devote several lunch hours to this learning endeavor.
