The team looked and felt so defeated today, even after clinching. I think it was a combination of losing that first game after 7 outstanding shutout innings from Spencer, followed by the news that Chris Sale not only didn't play today (which was supposed to have been good news cause it would have meant they won game 1), but won't even be on the WC roster.


They went from total elation Sunday morning when everything had at that point been going right, to barely happy they clinched after the Mets pretty much gave them game 2. I'll be shocked if they aren't swept.
The Mets should take a game from the Brewers. Going into it with some momentum and a decent pitching situation.

The Astros will make it out of the WC round, likely in 2. I'll be surprised if they aren't in yet another ALCS.
Orioles over the Royals in 3.


Padres over the Dodgers in 4.
Phillies over the Brewers in 5. (though it will be interesting finding out if the Phillies can handle the off week and be ready to play)

Astros over the Guardians in 5.
Yankees over the Orioles in 4.


Padres over the Phillies in 6.
Yankees over the Astros in 6.


Yankees over the Padres in 5.
