I don't think it is clear that Minnesota got better or worse from the trade, but they did go from bringing back the core of a 56 win team to a team with some questions. They also saved some money from the deal, which could be seen as a sign of unwillingness to spend from their ownership (which is it's own thing). When a team essentially trades you their draft pick future (as Minnesota and Cleveland did two years ago), the dream is that they'll implode and you'll have what Ainge had from the Nets in Boston. That won't happen from Minnesota, but I think the odds of the 2025 pick owed from Minnesota ending up in the late-teens or early-twenties are higher than they were before the deal.
