machine calibration, but they are better than bottles as well (and are close to on par with cans). Also, cans are best when they are ice cold and the main reason they are superior to bottles is because the soda seems to be much colder (and more carbonated) than the bottles.

I know people say glass bottles are the best, but they are not common enough for me to have much of an opinion on them.
