That's fantastic geography for Big 12 recruiting and easy travel into Houston, Orlando, and Cincinnati. Those markets have massive potential to make real noise in football and basketball when Houston, UCF, and Cincinnati are good.
It is difficult to travel to Corvallis and Pullman.
Plus, Cincinnati averages 38K attendance and UCF averages 44K - both of which are near sellout capacity, including their FCS home games. Admittedly, Houston is lackluster at a consistent 25K average, well below its 40K capacity.
Compare to:
- Wazzu had 24-27K attendance in its home games against SJSU and Texas Tech and only 20K against FCS Portland State.
- OSU had 34-38K attendance in its home games against Purdue and Oregon and 31K attendance against FCS Idaho State.
