honestly guys like Barcello did too back in the day, and I feel like a lot of the reason those MPG counts look normal to BYU fans is because we haven't had the depth and are forced to run these guys into the ground. That lack of depth and guys getting tired is a very plausible explanation for our defense dropping off a cliff as the season wore on.
I don't know anything about those guys on Criddle you mentioned, I'm just going off of my own observations and our continual struggles in end of season tourneys.
I'm going into this season testing a hypothesis: if at least one of these backup PGs does turn out to be solid, we'll see Hall's minutes go down. Second part is that if the new talented depth proves itself and minutes are more balanced down the roster, we will see less of a drop in overall team defensive efficiency through the season.
I'm willing to discover I'm wrong.
