If the chaos continues and the conference champion ends up with 2+ losses, there is a chance that a G5 team like Boise State could run the table and grab the 4th automatic playoff bid for a bye week in the first round. The Big 12 would still get the 5th automatic bid, but would likely be the 12 seed with no 1st round bye and would be playing the 5th seed on the road in the first round. I love how much competitive parity there is in the conference but we need to be careful in years like this one where there are some really good G5 teams that could make a play for the 4th automatic bid.
