if we can't find a more balanced attack on offense. We have great WR's who are making big plays, but we really don't have a consistent running game or TE play over the middle of the field. Problem is that if you watched the AZ game on Saturday, they appear to have NFL caliber corners, so their strength could negate our strength to some extent. It is going to be a lot more difficult for BYU to just rely on elite WR playmaking to win the game.
BYU's best offensive teams had great balance. The late 00's teams had Max Hall at QB, but also Unga at RB, Collie at WR, and Pitta at TE. Defenses have nothing to key in on with a team like that. Our 2024 team has had good o-line play, good QB play, and good WR play, but little from the TE's and RB's, and I guarantee that future opponents will game plan around that, especially teams like AZ that can put their best DB's on players like Roberts and Lassiter.
