Bye is best. BUT the team that finishes at #5 arguably has it better than 2-4. Home game vs likely meh G5, round 2 vs
4th best conf champ (most years Big 12 or ACC). Round 3 vs #2/7. Many years the 5 may be the favorite to make it to the title game with the #1.
I bet they change the format for 26 to get rid of this. I also think they go all top teams get to host a home game once they see how amazing they are going to be.
