This isn't going to sound appropriate but..

Wouldn't an apostle giving a blessing to a BYU football player at a game be the most unsurprising thing? The expected thing?

Is there something more pressing on his time at the moment he is taking in a football game? I mean, that's kind of what they do. It's their jam. It's one of the things they are charged to do, ie do what Jesus would do. And it's for a student who was out there putting his health on the line to represent the very University the apostle/board member was there for when he (conner) got hurt.

It would be more surprising if he was like, nah I'm busy rubbing shoulders with these church/civic leaders here in the box and watching football. Priesthood is priesthood, just let one of the guys down there in the locker room with it, do it.

Sure this would be a great opportunity for me to make a big lifelong memory/experience/impression on this young man, thus making it even more likely he'll stay in the fold long-term...and sure it is super easy to do and takes very little effort or time for me to do it and is basically the least I could do, but I'll miss the game and I'd have to take the elevator all the way down there. Plus, if I give him a blessing then everyone who wants one will want me to do it.

It would be like if one of the head honchos of Walmart was at a specific Walmart store when an employee got hurt there and the head honcho didn't even go in and check on him. /
