Again, the claim is not that the offense or A-rod is all bad.
he has some great calls. The offense was great in the first half. The claim/frustration is that when the most important play calls need to be made (game is on the line), or when the chess match of adjustments needs to be made, A-rod routinely out-thinks himself with some poor decisions at the most critical times.

Like Passing on 3rd and 2 when we are trying to run the clock down. That is a huge mistake at a very critical time. It was very reminiscent with passing on 1st and goal from the 3 against Oklahoma when we were averaging over 5 yards per rush and ran for over 150 yards by that time in the game (we finished with over 200 yards rushing).

This is not just some fringe thing that only a few people see : https://youtu.be/5ORXXP8EBCI?t=85

But I am unable to point to any specific decisions by Jay Hill that jeopardized this, or any other game.

I saw a handful of plays where a good or at least reasonable defensive scheme was called and the players screwed up/blew their assignments. But I would not put that directly on Jay Hill. To find something, I would have to go back and watch every play and what defense we were running.

What I do know is that when it came to the most pivotal moments in the game, Baylor had three chances for a game winning drive and they went:

9 plays, 9 yards - Punt
7 plays, 21 yards - Turnover on Downs
2 plays, -10 yards - Interception

Not to mention the defense pretty much gifting the offense 10 points in the first half with their play. If we have any of our previous defenses from the last 8 years, we would be 2-3.
