1). Kudos to Baylor—what do you do to make an impressive stadium when it’s built in an utterly flat area? Put it right on the river, right by the in view of your impressive campus. Pretty setting. Kinda cool crossing the river right on to the doorsteps of the stadium
2) Baylor fans—didn’t turn out much today. Stadium 2/3 full maybe. Uncomfortable for those not in the shade, but still…they seem to have mailed it in with this team. Student section a non-factor with most gone at half
3) Fans who were there ranged from friendly to perfectly nice to kinda apathetic. Walked a mile to our car. One interaction with a friendly Baylor fan. That was it.
4) Impressive fan presence at game again. Solid tailgate breakfast and game day shirt from local alumni chapter
5) Equally impressive showing by BYU fans at Magnolia right after game
6) Hill and the D got exposed a bit but adjusted and won it for us after getting hit in the mouth. Props to you Mo Bamba. They tried to pick on you. You responded.
6A) D is both improved and a bit of who pundits expected. Better everywhere. Elite MAYBE at LB. Good to middlin’ elsewhere today
7) Arod and the O…what in the actual…???? Obviously came out like world beaters, passing to set up run. Such a great start. The the dropsies, bad passes and what felt like overly conservative play calls set in. Playing for 50 yard FGs. Lucky they didn’t blow it for us.
8. Kingston had his big moment. He’s too reckless. Questionable hands. Next please (no really).
9. Among other complaints, Arod didn’t much use the TE again.
10. Would attend this game again. Very happy to get out with a W and head into a bye after playing our best quarter of the year perhaps to start off before falling off a cliff. 5-0 feels pretty darn good.
