I actually like the run call. I would have been fine with a screen play as well.
Key was that you are in field goal range and keeping it on the ground keeps the game going. Also puts you in position to go for a 4th and short.
Play call was ok but execution wasn’t.
You don’t get it and kick a field goal and go up by 16. At that point it would have required perfect execution from Baylor.
Missing that field goal was really impactful.
