stupid enough to think I can fast forward live TV.

If I’m watching a game live, and I pause it for 30 minutes, and then try to fast forward it plays an ad, not in the original broadcast, but it inputs an ad that I cannot fast forward or rewind. I can’t get back to my recording that I paused until I finish watching the complete ad. Then I can continue to fast forward through the recorded content until I hit the next input ad, that stops my ability to fast forward or rewind and forces me to watch it again, for over a minute, before I can again fast forward/rewind the game.
