We basically have fans directly paying players for their favorite university. If you want your team to be better, the fans have to pay those players directly. The richer the fanbase, the better your team will be.

Can you imagine a scenario where the fans pay pro players directly to supplement their pay from their team? Sounds crazy right? Well, that’s what we are doing with college sports, and that is completely wild to me.

Even if you had a salary cap in college sports, people would still give players money via NIL or under the table. Fans are crazy about college sports…it’s the only place where fans are willing to buy success. Can you imagine Spike Lee paying an extra $20M for a free agent signing for the Knicks?
