They get to be with schools that are right on their same footing in every way. They don't have to deal with all these religious group-originated schools in the Big12. Their fans and admin hate being in the Big12 and love the PAC. Get out of BYU's massive shadow. Don't have to hear about how BYU fans are so welcoming. Their uneducated fans can rub shoulders with other uneducated fans just like them, and feel much more at home instead of getting owned all the time.

As the #2 program/school in Utah, they'd get to be aligned with
- the #2 school in CO
- the #2 school in OR
- the #2 school in WA
- #5 and #6 schools in CA

They could get back to their west coast travels they love so much with Fresno and SDSU, no more truck stop conference. UU fans have SO MUCH in common with SDSU fans, and even USU fans too. They can all sit in their BYU-hate stew together and really have a great time. No travel to WV or Florida.

And they'd immediately bring their $80M in value to the league and bump it up right to P5 level all by themselves.

Now that they know the PAC is surviving and not dissolving, and has grabbed only the cream of the MWC crop, the Utah pres must be on the phone right now trying to make this happen. Book it.
