Last week in practice, we focused on the middle 8 - the last 4 minutes of the first half and first 4 minutes of the second half. This week I told them we need to focus on the middle 60.
Said he has really had to work on not calling plays as a fan. He said he has been a fan for his whole life and wants to please everyone.
Talked about Hinckley Ropati becoming a father this week. You could just see how proud he was of his players.
Last thing, I'm always amazed that someone at these luncheons will stand up during Q/A and try to tell Kalani how to coach. Today it was a guy saying the O linemen stand up too straight. Also an old lady basically saying the team got lucky because of the mistakes KSU made. Kalani quickly pointed out what BYU did to cause those mistakes. It would take a lot from me not to blast someone like that but he handles it with class.
