I was surprised that the cost of attendance is relatively high. By relatively, I mean compared to BYUI, UVU, and USU (non-BYU places that are probably considered as alternatives).

To me, being at the school, living away from home, is an big deal. And that was the biggest downside to UoU, especially when cost was considered. Otherwise, I think UoU is likely the best academic option and for sure has an excellent institute program and vibrant scene for LDS singles.

I've known and worked with too many great LDS men who went to UoU to believe it leads to apostasy or anything.
