I think many USU and BYU fans have a good relationship, but BYU is reluctant

to play Utah State. In 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2021, BYU QBs were injured sufficiently to be pulled from the game. Many of these were season ending. There’s simply been too many of these to be a coincidence, and so BYU no longer wants to play them.
