Why isn’t it in writing? This isn’t the old under the table days, so why isn’t
NIL more like a contract and clearly spelled out in writing? Then, if the school was not going through with their agreement, you would think it would hold up in court. And if the player was claiming they weren’t getting paid but they actually were, the school could disclose the contract to show that they did keep the agreement. This seems fishy that he was just “told” he would get $100,000 from an assistant coach. Especially when he has an NIL agent.
